Baked Pork Chops

ADVERTISEMENTS

I am a little like Rachel Ray when it comes to cooking. I cook fast, and I don’t measure.
You can call me Mr Ray if you must. I look a little like her too, though I am a guy, so you can say in a guyish way.

So lets not measure.

For the baked Pork Chops, you would need the following ingredients.

1)Pork chops, obviously.

A pound?.. make it two. because I am going to use the ribs with fat. Don’t worry about the picture, that is not what we are going to eat. That is a borrowed picture, just to show you how a pork rib with fat looks like. You will get that kind of chops in any of those Chinese Shopping malls.

The fats of park, or rather the skin have a unique taste that I don’t want you to miss.

2) You will need some garlic. I would use 5-6 cloves of garlic crushed

3) 3 eggs, I use only one yolk, and all the egg whites from the 3 eggs . Beat the eggs>

4) About 2 cups of bread crumbs

5) Corn flour

6) Olive oil

7) Milk

8 ) White wine

9) condensed cream of mushroom soup

10) 2 Carrots .. Cut into small cubes or whatever you like it to look.

11) A handful of Celery, chopped into 1 inch pieces

12) A couple of ripe tomatoes finely chopped.

13) A medium onion finely chopped

The baking Process for the recipe:

1. Now, wash the pork chops, and place in a deep bottom non stick frying pan.
Cover it and put on high heat. After 5 minutes, you will see that the meat has some juice and oil coming out of the meat in the pan. Increase heat and mix well, just as you would saute. After sometime, the water would all evaporate, but oil would keep coming out.. just fry in the own fat for 5 minutes, and you will see that the pork is frying in its own fat. Let fry for another 5 minutes and remove on a absorbent paper. Keep the oil in the pan, reduce heat to medium.

2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

3. Rub pork chops with salt and crushed garlic. Just mix well. Now Sprinkle the flour all over the pork and dip each pork ribs in the beaten eggs. Now roll the chops over the bread crumb and fry in the oil for 3 minutes on first side and 2 minute on second.

4. Transfer the fried onto a tray with absorbent paper, and then place them on a baking dish. Cover with the chops with foil.

5. Place the tray in the preheated oven and start baking.

6) In a separate pan, add one tablespoon of olive oil and fry the chopped onions. When onion becomes limp, add the celery and saute for couple of minutes in medium heat. Now add the tomatoes and continue to saute for another 2 minutes. Add into it the cream of mushroom soup (a medium can),half a cup of milk and white wine each. Remove from heat and mix well.

7) Remove tray from the oven after it has baked for about half an hour. Add the soup mixture, and bake for another half an hour.

Happy Baking
